    The Evergreen Hand

Jesse Scott, a retired U.S. Air Force colonel, discusses the creation of his device for tying a fishing fly one-handed. The device, which he named after the Evergreen Fly-Fishing Club in Everett, was created as physical therapy for wounded veterans.

The EverGreen Hand was invented by Jesse Scott a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel. It all started when a friend of Jesses asked him to help out with the rehabilitation of wounded servicemen and women. Jessie is an avid fly angler and fly tier, so he started of thinking how his passion for the sport would be applicable and came up with this device that allows a person with the use of only one hand to tie flies which for many of us is a chore with both hands. Jesse teamed up with Dean Childs who started Wasatch Fly Tying Tools, and with Deans engineering expertise they refined the design and now Dean manufactures the tools in his basement. Add to the mix the Federation of Fly Fishers along with other generous donors and this movie and manufacture of the vises is underway.

    Casting Partner

The Casting Partner is a fishing aid to a fly fisher that only has the use of one hand. It's purpose is to replace all the operations normally done by the "line hand". This frees the fishers functional hand to cast the fly rod.

This is where the rubber meets the road or hopefully funds will get to OPF Innovations so they can build the Casting Partner with more durable parts and continue researching other valuable fishing aids for wounded warriors. As Kelly says in the movie...they need your help. Produced by Bennett-Watt HD Productions, Inc. www.bennett-watt.com or www.hdvideoproduction.net
